CRYSTAL WILLIAMS, LCSW
Crystal Williams has been dedicated with providing an array of services to children, adolescents, and families for 18 years. She began her educational career at Mississippi Valley State University, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Social Work in 1999. She obtained her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago Jane Addams College of Social Work in 2001. In 2012, Crystal earned a Masters of Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. Crystal is an Illinois Certified Mediator, Restorative Justice Peace Circle Keeper, and certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. She has mainly worked on the West Side of Chicago, serving the communities of North Lawndale, Garfield, Austin, Humboldt Park, Little Village, and surrounding western suburbs. Her experience includes working as in the field of child welfare, where she worked as case manager providing services to youth in foster care. She also served as the Director of Student Services, at a charter school, for over 15 years, overseeing the counseling department, providing mental health services and trauma support to the youth, parental support, conflict resolution, and case management resources. She also managed several youth employment, educational, and counseling programs, along with supervision to Masters level social work students at Chicago State and Dominican University. Crystal uses a strength based, solution-focused, and other empowering approaches to develop and utilize coping skills in order to defeat overwhelming life challenges. She also reaches out to the community resources in order to serve the "whole" person.
